My biggest problem with the MacBook Air is not the lack of connectivity, nor the lack of expandability, it is the lack of performance. The MacBook Air needs more RAM. 2GBs is not enough when the built-in Nvidia 9400M chipset is eating 256MBs, or one eighth of the total memory at boot. Performance suffers when memory is scarce. Hang-ups and freezes are common when a overburdened MacBook Air must resort to cacheing from slow storage, especially if that storage is a sluggish 1.8 inch 4200-rpm internal hard drive. My solution, ship the MacBook Air with a total of 4GBs of RAM standard. The price may go up, but users will be much more happier long-term..
