My current position within IT calls for the execution of several different tasks, but the one I despise the most is performing the annual technology census. As the sole participant in the annual technology census I must pay a visit to more than four hundred computers located throughout several different floors within the multiple buildings of my designated department. Upon arrival to each computer I must then spend several minutes capturing its required technical specifications and recording my findings on a single row of a reconstructed spreadsheet. Preforming a annual technology census requires no expertise, and no creativity. It is not fun.
