HogBay Software’s TaskPaper offers a text based to-do list for Mac users who want a simpler way to stay organized and get things done. It accomplishes this role by allowing user’s to create list items, group them by project, sort them via tags, and search through them using simple filters. All of TaskPaper’s features are available from within a familiar text editor interface, and can be evoked using a simple text-based syntax. Unfortunately it is also TaskPaper’s paper-like simplicity that prevents me from purchasing the software. I just can’t see myself paying $18.95 for an application that adds little value over keeping a simple list in a standard text editor.
