The My Newton Blog background image has been updated once again, this time with a smoother more idealistic interpretation of the classic MessagePad 2100 theme. Previous incarnations of the backdrop image have featured such visual stylings as a simple black & white wireframe, and a realistic rendering with authentic shadows, textures and scratches. The wireframe model was nice, but too sparse and lacked the excitement of authenticity. The realistic version was appealing to the eye with its bold shadows, but was shot slightly off center. The last version, similar to the present, was just too dark and uninviting. Hopefully this update will be for the best.
