But why was applying and working at Apple one of the smartest decisions of my life? Because after a year I did get hired on as a full time Mac Specialist, and then eventually a full time Mac Genius. And as part of the Mac Genius training I was flown out to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino California, and certified as a Apple technician. It was this training that would later save me when the management at my local Apple retail store began to fall apart. It was this training that would make me valuable in the eyes of employers, that would allow me to get my position at Children’s Hospital Boston.
